For the first time in the competition’s history, the Western Sydney Wanderers will be fielding a squad in the National Premier Leagues Women’s NSW .

Leading the side will be coach Geoff Abrahams who enjoyed a successful campaign in 2024 with Sydney Olympic, leading them to last season’s finals.

It will be no easy ride though for Abrahams and his youthful side who will face some difficult clashes against some highly experienced NPL Women’s NSW teams.

A number of players have moved over from the Football NSW Institute including Anika Stajcic, Amelia Cassar and Alvina Koshaba to name a few.

While Championship winning duo from the Macarthur Rams Maya Lobo and Bronte Trew will also wear the Red and Black.

Young Matildas and defender Gemma Ferris will also be a Wanderer once her A-League commitments are complete.

Another major signing is Talia Kapetanellis arriving from Sydney University SFC not only offering goals but assists along with the talented Nikkita Fazzari from NWS Spirit FC.

Brooklyn Hudson arrives at Wanderers HQ from the Illawarra Stingrays while Miriam Zumaya from SD Raiders.

Christa Oliva makes the move from the Blacktown Spartans and Angelina Scamardella from the Rams both of which will offer Abrahams’ team quality as they hope to ruffle a few feathers in the state’s premier women’s competition.

The Wanderers kick off their 2025 season with a home match against Manly United (5pm) at Wanderers Football Park.
