Ravens Ready to Rise: Gladesville Set Sights on Breakthrough 2026 NPL Women’s NSW Season

Ambition is quietly building at Gladesville Ravens as the club prepares for what shapes as a defining 2026 National Premier Leagues Women’s NSW season, blending continuity, experience and emerging talent in pursuit of new heights.
At the helm once again is Lauren Phelps, who continues as First Grade head coach following a promising 2025 campaign. With stability in the technical area and a clear vision for growth, the Ravens enter the new season with confidence and belief that the foundations laid last year can now be elevated.
A major boost for Gladesville has been their ability to retain a strong core of proven performers. The likes of Elizabeth Gilbane, Eliza Coleman, Annabelle Daczko, Annie Halls and Breanna Buccini remain central to the Ravens’ plans, providing consistency, leadership and an understanding of the club’s identity as they look to build momentum in a highly competitive league.
That core has been further strengthened by an impressive group of new signings, adding experience and quality across the park. The arrival of Leena Khamis brings elite-level pedigree and attacking nous, while Hannah McNulty, Keiko Tanaka, Gisella Pipino and Laura Murtagh add depth, composure and versatility to the senior roster. Their inclusion signals Gladesville’s intent to not only compete, but to challenge for silverware.
There is also excitement surrounding familiar faces returning to the fold. Morgan Roberts is back and available from Round 1, while Miku Sunaga will also be in contention early in the season, giving Phelps valuable options as combinations begin to take shape.
Beyond the senior names, Gladesville Ravens remain committed to developing the next generation. Young talents Harriet Johnson, Angie Scarmadella, Isabelle Stintziani and Kaylie Shannon are all pushing for opportunities, with the 2026 season presenting a genuine platform for emerging players to make their mark at NPL Women’s NSW level.
With a balanced squad, growing belief and a clear pathway between youth and senior football, the Ravens enter 2026 with the potential to redefine what success looks like for the club.
The journey begins in Round 1, with Gladesville Ravens set to face the Northern Tigers on Saturday, 7 March, in a fixture that will provide an early test of their credentials.
For a club eager to soar higher than ever before, the stage is set for a season full of promise, opportunity and ambition.
