Jynaya Dos Santos enjoying her time with the Bulls

This week, we spoke to Bulls FC Academy star Jynaya Dos Santos on her recent form and her sides bid for the NPL Women’s NSW Premiership.
Bulls FC are currently top of the ladder, leading an intense race for the Premiership that sees the top four separated by just four points.
With Mt Druitt Town Rangers two points behind Bulls and with a game in hand, it’s going to come down to the wire, with Dos Santos’ side currently experiencing the joy of being top spot.
“It’s a really good feeling,” she said.
“The girls have worked really hard all year, and to see it paying off now is rewarding.
“But at the same time, we know the job is not done yet.”
A large part of Bulls’ success this season has come thanks to Dos Santos, who has been sensational in the NPL Women’s NSW competition after joining mid-season from Canberra United.
“I think it comes down to how connected we are as a team,” Dos Santos said, when asked about her recent form.
“Everyone’s playing their role, trusting the process, and pushing each other every week.
“Personally, I’ve been training really hard behind the scenes and focusing on being consistent.
“I also give credit to my coach Marty.
“Having someone who believes in me and gives me confidence has helped me enjoy my football again.”
This weekend, Bulls FC will face off against Manly United, who are fifth on the ladder, three points off the top four.
It promises to be an exhilarating clash between two quality teams, and Dos Santos’ side firmly focused on the fixture ahead.
“We know it’s going to be a tough game,” she said.
“Manly are a quality side but we’ve prepared well and are confident in each other.
“These are the games you want to be a part of and this is why we play football.”
A win for Bulls FC would take them a step closer to their desired Premiership, and with just five matches remaining, every game is crucial.
“It would honestly mean everything,” said Dos Santos on winning the Premiership.
“We’ve all put in so much work this season, and to bring the title home with this group would be unreal.
“There’s just something about this team, from the girls to the staff, it’s such a special group.
“But we know we need to stay focused and take it one game at a time.”
Bulls FC will travel to Cromer Park to face off against Manly United on Sunday evening, with the match – kicking off at 5pm – also available live and free on Football NSW’s YouTube Channel.
