NPL Women’s NSW and Girls Youth League Championship Series Format Confirmed

The 2026 NPL Women’s NSW and Girls Youth League Championship Series is set to bring the season to a thrilling conclusion, with clubs across the competitions preparing for a series of important finals fixtures.

The Championship Series format has been confirmed for NPL Women’s NSW First Grade and the Girls Youth League (U14, U15, U16, U18 and U23) competitions.

With the regular seasons approaching their conclusion, the Championship Series will see the leading teams battle it out for the right to be crowned champions.

Please note: Kick-off times are yet to be determined for the semi-finals, and advertised match dates are subject to change.

NPL Women’s NSW First Grade

The NPL Women’s NSW First Grade Championship Series will begin with two semi-finals across Saturday, 5 September or Sunday, 6 September.

The match-ups will see the top four teams go head-to-head:

Semi-Final 1: 1st v 4th
Semi-Final 2: 2nd v 3rd

The winners of those two matches will progress to the NPL Women’s NSW First Grade Grand Final, with the championship decider scheduled for Sunday, 13 September.

The Grand Final will be played at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 12:00pm.

Girls Youth League Championship Series

The Girls Youth League Championship Series will also feature the top four teams in each age group, with semi-finals followed by Grand Finals across the U14, U15, U16, U18 and U23 competitions.

The semi-final structure will be:

Semi-Final 1: 1st v 4th
Semi-Final 2: 2nd v 3rd

The winners will then progress to their respective Grand Finals.

The U14, U15, U16, U18 and U23 Grand Finals are scheduled for Saturday, 12 September at Valentine Sports Park.

Girls Youth League Championship Series

Semi-Finals: Saturday, 5 September or Sunday, 6 September

The Championship Series provides a fitting finale to the season for the NPL Women’s NSW and Girls Youth League competitions, with clubs now entering the crucial final stages of their campaigns.

For First Grade, the opportunity to compete for the championship at the prestigious St George Venues Jubilee Stadium adds further significance to the season finale, while Valentine Sports Park will provide the stage for the next generation of female footballers to compete for Girls Youth League silverware.

With the regular season positions set to determine the semi-final match-ups, there is plenty still to play for before the Championship Series gets underway.
