NPL Women’s NSW Golden Boot Race Heats Up During Female Football Week

With Football NSW’s Female Football Week now in full swing—having kicked off last Friday and running through to Sunday, May 17—the spotlight isn’t only on celebration, but also on the fierce race for the NPL Women’s NSW Golden Boot.
At the top of the charts, APIA Leichhardt FC’s in-form striker Ashlie Letta has surged ahead of the pack, leading the competition with 11 goals. Letta has firmly established herself as one of the league’s most dangerous attacking threats, consistently finding the back of the net and driving APIA’s hopeful push for silverware this season.
Chasing her down are Manly United’s Brinley Gentle and Bulls FC Academy’s Olivia Vanderlaan, who are both locked in on seven goals apiece. The pair remain firmly in contention as they continue to spearhead their sides’ attacking ambitions heading into the business end of the campaign.
With Round 11 still to be completed this weekend, the Golden Boot race remains wide open, and with momentum shifting week to week, every match is becoming increasingly decisive in the battle for individual glory.
As Female Football Week continues to shine a spotlight on the game’s growth and talent across the state, the race for the Golden Boot is shaping up to be one of the most exciting storylines of the season.
