Football NSW has announced the match officials that will take charge of the National Premier Leagues Women’s and Men’s NSW First Grade Grand Finals to be played at Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, 13th September 2025.

The NPL Women’s NSW match kicks off at 2:30pm and will be refereed by Charlotte Flynn (Football South Coast Referees).

A graduate of the FNSW Referees Academy and member of the FNSW Referees Branch, Flynn has been a regular on the NPL Women’s NSW competition and has been involved in previous finals such as the 2024 Sapphire Cup Grand Final (AR), 2024 League One Women’s First Grade Grand Final (AR) as well as a final at Football Australia’s Boys National Youth Championships in 2024. The start of 2025 saw Flynn selected for the Football Australia Referee Academy (FARA) and she made her debut on the national stage as a fourth official in the A-League Women’s competition in the 24/25 season.

Flynn will be supported by Amber Morris, who has been appointed as Assistant Referee 1 for the match.

Morris (originally from Eastern Suburbs Football Referees Association) brings a wealth of experience from both the state and national level to this match, being a part of the A-League Women’s panel since the 2021/22 season. In NSW, Morris is a top-performer across both the NPL Men’s and Women’s NSW competitions and earlier this season was the first female assistant referee to be appointed to the prestigious Waratah Cup Final.

Lara Hogan (originally from Hills Football Referees) will accompany Flynn and Morris, as Assistant Referee 2. Hogan is a consistent performer on the NPL Women’s NSW panel, with 2025 also seeing her make der debut on the NPL Men’s NSW first grade competition as an assistant referee. This match is her second appointment to a grand final this season, having recently officiated the Sapphire Cup 2025 Final as Assistant Referee 1.

Completing the on-field crew is Mia Velarde (originally from Manly Warringah Football Referees Association) who has been appointed as fourth official. Velarde’s 2025 season was full of milestones including selection to the Football Australia Referee Academy, her fourth official debut on the A-League Women’s competition, as well as appointment to the recent NSW League One Women’s Grand Final.

All appointed match officials are members of FNSW Referees Branch.

The NPL Men’s NSW 2025 Grand Final, kicking off at 6:00pm will be refereed by Jake Rose. Rose began his refereeing career with Hills Football Referees before progressing on state level matches with FNSW Referees Branch. Rose is no stranger to finals football, having whistled the Waratah Cup Final in 2024; firmly cementing his position on the NPL Men’s NSW panel throughout 2025. Rose has also recently been selected by Football Australia as part of the panel of match officials who will officiate in the inaugural season of the Australian Championships.

Accompanying Rose as Assistant Referee 1 is experienced match official, Patrick Teleki (Blacktown City Soccer Referees Branch). Teleki’s consistent performances have seen him excel at the state level with this appointment marking his third grand final in three seasons; he has previously featured in the 2024 NPL Men’s NSW grand final, as well as the Waratah Cup Final 2023. Like Rose, Teleki has been selected to feature in the upcoming Australian Championships competition.

Working alongside Rose and Teleki is Alessandro Llana (originally from Manly Warringah Football Referees Association) who has been appointed as Assistant Referee 2. A graduate of the FNSW Referees Academy, Llana has excelled at the state and national level. 2024 saw Llana appointed to the Waratah Cup Final, before being selected to the Football Australia Referee Academy (FARA). Recently, he has featured on Australia Cup Round of 16 and Quarter Final matches, as well as being selected for the upcoming Australian Championships competition.

The on-field team is completed with Eric Saba (North West Sydney Football Referees Association) who has been appointed as fourth official. Saba, another alumni of the Football NSW Referees Academy and soon to be Australian Championships referee, brings his seasons of experience at the NPL level to this appointment.

“Congratulations to all the match officials appointed to finals,” said FNSW Referee Education and Development Manager, Emma Kocbek.

“A finals appointment is recognition of a match official’s dedication, effort and performance both on and off the field throughout the entire season. All the appointed match officials have earned the opportunity to officiate a finals match, and we wish them all the best.”
