No nerves at all as Di Sipio hopes to lift the Premiership this Sunday

Ahead of the all-important NPL Women’s NSW Premiership decider this weekend, we spoke to Bulls FC star Isabella Coco-Di Sipio about the season and their match against APIA Leichhardt.
Coco-Di Sipio has enjoyed a sensational season at the club, netting a sensational 17 goals from just 20 games.
“I’m just really enjoying playing with the team I’ve got around me,” she said.
“I can’t score without the ball and I’m very thankful that I’ve got a team that knows my strengths and how I like the ball.
“It’s good from an individual perspective to have scored 17 in 20 games, but I look at those 17, and it’s a joint team effort.
“I feel like I’ve got a few more up my sleeve, but it feels good right now.”
The forward has played a major role in what has been a fantastic campaign for the Bulls, who, after finishing eighth last season, are currently top of the league with one match to go.
Coco-Di Sipio’s side will be taking on second-placed APIA Leichhardt in a mouthwatering clash, as both sides come into this game on equal points, with Bulls only ahead on goal difference.
“I don’t think we are nervous at all for this match-up, I think the general consensus is that we’re excited, we know what’s at stake,” said Coco-Di Sipio on the fixture.
“We are trying to just look at it one game at a time, do our job on Sunday, execute it well and I’m sure if we do that we’ll be walking out with three points and the Premiership.
“There’s no nerves at all, I think it’s just excitement and the thrill to just get out and start that game.”
The Premiership wouldn’t be the first major milestone of Bulls’ season, with the young side being the only side in the league to go undefeated at home, with a stellar record of 11 wins and two draws from thirteen games.
“We have already reached one big achievement this season in being the only team in the league to be undefeated at home,” she said.
“No other team has done that this season and we wanted to set that standard.
“We came away with a 4-1 win on the weekend to cement it, and the next thing is to win the minor Premierships, so that’s what we’ll aim for on Sunday.
Coco-Di Sipio played a crucial part in cementing that record last weekend, two of the Bulls’ four goals against Gladesville Ravens.
And this weekend, she will be looking to provide another sensational performance, as her side looks to secure a storied NPL Women’s NSW Premiership.
“To me, it would mean a lot,” she said when asked about what winning the Premiership would mean.
“At the start of the season, for our team, we put ourselves in a little bit of a hole.
When I did an earlier podcast a lot of people did write us off as title contenders, and I think that only motivated us as a team to show people that we are here, we mean business, we play good football and we go out there and enjoy it each and every week.
“So I think to come away with the Premiership after a rocky start to the season, it would mean a lot to us girls.”
Bulls FC will travel to face APIA Leichhardt at Lambert Park on Sunday evening, with the exhilarating match kicking off at 5pm, available live and free on Football NSW’s YouTube Channel.
