Lauren Phelps appointed Gladesville Ravens Head Coach
National Premier Leagues Women’s NSW side Gladesville Ravens have appointed Lauren Phelps as the new Head Coach for the 2025 season.
Phelps takes over the top job from Guillermo Rubio with Maddison Zahara appointed as the club’s assistant coach.
The 32-year-old won the Reserve Grade Premiership with the Ravens in 2024 which was a huge achievement for the club considering it was their second season in the Women’s top-flight competition.
‘Lauren did an outstanding job with the reserve grade group in 2024, and it was a very straight forward decision to offer her role as the clubs Head Coach,” said Gladesville Ravens’ Head of Football Stephen Bott.
“She’s a well-organized coach, great with the players and brings a lot of NPL Women’s NSW experience as both player and coach.
“It was equally an easy decision to appoint Maddy as her Assistant, again a tremendous leader and experienced youth coach.
It’s exciting for us to be able to offer young and talented female coaches the reigns to an NPL Women’s NSW football club, and something we are extremely proud of.”
