National Premier League NSW Women’s side Sydney Olympic will be hoping to go one better in the new season and qualify for finals football in 2023.
George Beltsos will once more lead the team from Belmore Sportsground as they eagerly anticipate the start of the new campaign.
Captain fantastic and the evergreen Teresa Polias will return again to lead the famous blue and whites, while also taking up a new player/coach role, assisting Beltsos. Sarah Yatim, Georgia Koutzoumis and Kiara De Domizio will all don the Olympic kit again as well.
Olympic managed to pick up a trio of stars from Sydney University’s Premiership winning side with Courtney Newbon, Brainna Oliverio and Ash Irwin all swapping the yellow and blue for the blue and white.
Maya Fernandez joins from the Football NSW Institute and will have the privilege of playing with one of her idols and biggest inspirations, Teresa Polias.
Former Newcastle Jets player Carlie Ikonomou has also put pen to paper for Olympic and will be hoping to make a difference for Beltsos’ team.
Olympic have had a number of Liberty A-League Women’s players in their squad in previous years and it will be interesting to see who they are able to recruit once their respective seasons conclude.
