At its meeting on 26 September 2018, the Football NSW Board considered the applications submitted by Football Associations, Clubs and Regional Branches (the Clubs) to participate in the men’s, women’s, boys’ and girls’ leagues conducted by Football NSW in the 2019 season.
The 2019 application process supported clubs to improve their governance and operations.
By meeting the requirements of the process, it helps to protect clubs, their players and other stakeholders.
The process allows Football NSW to continue to strengthen the administration of clubs competing in our competitions and identify areas where Football NSW can provide further support.
While the vast majority of clubs completed their requirements within the time frame provided, regrettably some clubs were unable to do so.
As a result, the prescribed sanctions, communicated to clubs in advance, were applied. Those sanctions ranged from fines to the loss of Club Championship points.
