Chronis searching for more silverware

Evelyn Chronis has enjoyed her time at Sydney University, two years, three trophies and counting.
On Sunday she can add to her collection as University attempt to retain the Championship title they won last season and she is confident in the team’s ability.
“I definitely believe we can win on Sunday.”
The pacey winger has been one of the ‘Students’ best players this campaign, scoring and assisting many goals.
But for her, team success is key and most important.
“Coming away with the Premiership was a massive accomplishment for us as we’ve been pretty consistent all season.
“We’re hitting our goals that we set and we can’t complain.”
The nervy finish to the regular season saw Chronis’ highlight come to light, something she will remember for years to come.
“It was really rewarding and satisfying coming away at the end of that final game, despite going in under a little pressure.
“We were a bit lucky with how the results went but sometimes you need that bit of luck.”
Despite the ‘omen’ of the last few years where the Premiers haven’t been crowned Champions, Chronis is not worried at all.
“We’ll absolutely change that and make history this year.”
Every player has their own way of preparing for these big games but Chronis kept her cards close to her chest.
“Everyone has their own routines, we laugh about it amongst ourselves saying it’s ‘game day, game week, grand final week.
“I think just being focused and really putting it in at training is important.”
As for University’s opponents, Chronis knows where the main threat will come from.
“We will approach the game focused and ready to win and fire on the park.
“They’ve got dangerous players on the park and Tara Andrews is always a big threat up front.”
